Privacy, cookies and terms
How TIPCS handles personal data and what you may do with this site.
What we collect
Only what you send us: your name, email address and message when you write to us, apply to a course or membership, or subscribe; and the account details you give when you create a member account through Wix (email, Google or Facebook sign-in).
How we use it
To answer you, run courses and membership, send the newsletter you asked for, and meet our legal and accounting duties. We do not sell personal data and we do not use advertising trackers.
Cookies
The site uses only technical cookies: to keep you signed in, to keep the site secure, and one small cookie (tipcs_geo, one year) that records that your language has already been suggested, so the EN, FR and ع buttons always win. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data under Tunisian personal-data law (Organic Law No. 2004-63). Write to Contact@tipcs.org.
Who is responsible
The Tunisian Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies (TIPCS), a Tunisian association, registered office Avenue Mahmoud Bourguiba, Monastir 5000, Tunisia. Contact: Contact@tipcs.org.
How long we keep it
Messages and applications are kept for as long as needed to answer and follow up, then deleted or anonymised. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Accounting records are kept for ten years as the law requires.
Where data is processed
The site and its forms run on Wix, whose servers are outside Tunisia. Your data is shared only with Wix and, if you use them to sign in, Google or Facebook. We transfer data abroad only as far as this service requires and in line with Organic Law 2004-63.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (INPDP) at www.inpdp.nat.tn.
Use of the site
