Mo.S.Ca.Clim. Kairouan
Maps the civil-society organisations working on climate in the Kairouan region and builds their capacity, with workshops for young people and gender-responsive climate communication.
What happened
A consortium of local partner associations was reconstituted and a memorandum of agreement signed at the OTEF Family House in Monastir on 26 July 2023, with media coverage by Al Janoubia TV and Tunis Afrique Presse.
On 23 July 2023 a workshop in Monastir developed a gender-responsive climate communication plan. Young members of the Tunisian Scouts, Kairouan region, then took part in climate-awareness workshops, received certificates, and led a cleanliness campaign on the Monastir cliff beach on 1 August 2023.
A favourable audit outcome for the project’s management was announced in press release PR1/24 on 22 January 2024.
