Funding and transparency

Where TIPCS’s money comes from, what it accepts, and where its accounts are published.

Last updated: 25 October 2026.

How TIPCS is funded

TIPCS is a non-profit association. Its resources are membership dues, gifts, project grants from partners, and income from its own activities. Gifts and dues are received by bank transfer only; transactions above 500 TND must go through a bank or postal transfer or a cheque.

Independence

TIPCS is independent and nonpartisan. It does not raise funds for, or give material support to, political parties or candidates, and no funder decides what its research finds or whether it is published.

Donor acceptance

TIPCS does not accept funds from states that have no diplomatic relations with Tunisia, or from bodies that defend them, and does not accept funds that would require it to give up its independence or to act against the law.

Accounts and audit

Accounts are prepared by the Financial Management Administration and reviewed by chartered accountants and statutory auditors. The annual financial statements and the auditors’ report are published on the Publications page within one month of their approval by the General Assembly.

Corrections and concerns

If you find an error in anything we publish, or have a concern about how TIPCS works, write to Contact@tipcs.org. Errors of fact are corrected openly and dated.

Foreign funding register

Under Article 41 of Decree-Law No. 2011-88, TIPCS publishes the source, value and purpose of each foreign grant or gift within one month of receiving it, and informs the Secretary General of the Government. Each entry is added below when it is recorded.
